Jack Saddleback is a proud Nehiyaw (Cree), Two-Spirit / IndigiQueer, transgender man from the Samson Cree Nation in Maskwacis, Alberta, with a long history of progressive, student and 2SLGBTQIA+ organizing in Saskatchewan.
An international speaker, media personality, and equity consultant, Mr. Saddleback has a long history of engaging communities in the province of Saskatchewan to address systemic and social issues that affect citizens through work that incorporates an intersectional lens. Formerly holding positions such as the Co-Interim Executive Director with OUTSaskatoon, Board Co-Chair with 2 Spirits in Motion Society, President of the University of Saskatchewan Students’ Union (USSU), and Program Director with JusticeTrans, Mr. Saddleback has a long history of community-based equity work. His notable experience in holding governments and institutions accountable through community organizing and collective political awareness has been seen through his tenure as the USSU President, where he lead the successful campaign to introduce the mandate of Indigenous content in all degree programs at the University of Saskatchewan. A recipient of numerous awards and featured on entertainment programs, such as Crave’s 1 Queen 5 Queers and CBC’s The Big Sex Talk, Mr. Saddleback brings numerous marginalized voices to the forefront through his bold inspirational work.
