Fae Johnstone is the Executive Director of the Society of Queer Momentum. She is an award-winning 2SLGBTQIA+ advocate and small business owner who has spent the past decade campaigning for a more free, just, and equal world for queer and trans people.
Fae is also the executive director and co-owner of Wisdom2Action, a consulting firm specializing in organizational development, community engagement and 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion.
Fae was the Grand Marshal of the 2023 Capital Pride Parade in Ottawa. She has been named an “Emerging Social Impact Leader” by The Peak, a “Top 30 Social Purpose Newsmaker'' by Future of Good, and “One of Ten Spectacular Canadian Women to Watch” by Notable Life. She was the recipient of the Young 2SLGBTQIA+ Entrepreneur of the Year award from Canada’s 2SLGBTQIA+ Chamber of Commerce. She is the first trans woman to serve on the Board of Directors of YWCA Canada and Oxfam Canada. She’s also on a chocolate bar.
